Lazy Plastic Brooch

The Lazy Plastic Brooch is a 3D-printed accessory with a deliberately chaotic shape.

Using an open-source 3D printer, we found that if you let errors happen mid-print and force the printer to keep going anyway, you can create strangely beautiful shapes.

There's an idea that a tool or material reveals its true nature when it fails. We wanted to make something that could only come from a 3D printer, and this turned out just the right kind of cool.

It came out so well that we even set up a shop and sold them.
